DRAFTMag.com doesn’t much care if a bar’s patrons rock pearls or pumas. But they do care that the suds stretch beyond PBR.  So they took one for the team and hit the dusty tavern trail from Hawaii’s beaches to sweet Caroline’s backwoods for the 150 best fine-brew ‘hoods and holes for you to get watered in—and four Triangle taverns made the mark.

Busy Bee, 225 South Wilmington Street, Raleigh.  —Whether jacked on java or hopped up on heady hops, either way…the Bee’s gotta buzz for you.  Check out this week’s newest tap: New Belgium Eric’s Ale (Fort Collins, Colorado) and ‘tender du jour: Colin Couch’s Behind the Bar with triangle.com.

The Raleigh Times Bar, 14 East Hargett Street, Raleigh. —Aptly named, The Times is a chronicle of Raleigh culture with walls awash in a hundred years of press clippings and a barrel of newsworthy Belgians to boot. Check out ‘tender du jour: Bobby Covais’ Behind the Bar with triangle.com.

Village Draft House, 428 Daniels Street, Raleigh. —Few know: There are 99 beers on the wall.  I know what you’re thinking. And so do they. For the love of God, don’t sing the song.  Drink one. Pass it around if you want. Tell your mom. Tell your dog. But whatever you do, just don’t sing that song.

Tyler’s Taproom & Restaurant, 102 E Main Street, Carrboro. —With up to 80 craft brews and now three local locations, Carrboro’s top taproom has hit the streets, steering its roadhouse to Apex and Durham’s American Tobacco Complex.  Look for downtown Raleigh location soon.
