Glenwood South gets a mod makeover. Eschelon Hospitality—parent company to Mura, Sono and The Oxford—now stretches their spellbinding swank down the Glo-So strip with their purchase of The Pourch/Bassment (next to Helios; formerly Aura, but no one’s missing that).
The yet-to-be-renamed hot spot—although rumored to be dubbed the Italian word for double…”doppio?”— Now named, The Ivy and Trim will remain a two-story concept.
Trim (Bassment) is already closed for reno, set to break onto the Glo-So scene as a 20-something posh dance spot. So you can suck on their vast vodka options and then sweat it out while you shake your rump… but let’s keep it classy, Raleigh—so no grinding or dry-humping. [follow @trimraleigh for more deets].
update: Trim opening Friday, Aug. 13, 9p.
For now, The Ivy (Pourch) will remain open, before eventually becoming an upscale martini bar and lounge—geared at 25-40. So you can sit your happy ass down and get tinted on ‘tinis. Now that sounds refreshing. [follow @theivyraleigh]
Eschelon has quite a bit brewing for the Raleigh foodscape… more news to come this week.
Update (Aug. 3): From Trim/The Ivy facebook pages:
“So close to opening!! If you want inside information on memberships, opening dates and more, be sure to become a fan here on Facebook or follow us on Twitter @TrimRaleigh, @TheIvyRaleigh”
