History in the making on Glenwood South—Joel Lane is resurrected

Those history-and-hooch-pairing Hunter’s boys are at it again… Having already reconstructed the token tavern of our capitalhood by resurrecting the Isaac Hunter’s bar for which our state’s capital location was determined, now they’re bringing the traditions of Isaac Hunter’s to Glenwood South—and throwing a nod to father of Raleigh Joel Lane in the process.

Set to open in early to mid August in the corner of the Creamery building (adjacent to and sharing a patio with The Diner), the upscale, non-pretentious Joel Lane’s Public House will be open seven days a week with a focus on local brews, bourbon and won’t-break-the-bank bites that’ll leave your belly good and satisfied—from hearty sandwich tavern classics to crabcake stuffed pork loin wrapped in bacon. Here’s a sneak peak…

Joel Lane’s Public House: 11a-2a daily. 410 Glenwood, Raleigh.

  1. Ben, would like to talk to you about your linen needs ( napkins, tablecloths, bar towels, aprons, mats, mops, etc.).
I’m Courtneys dad and we will do an outstanding job taking care of your new restaurant. Congrats on the new opening. Second Empire and Poole’s Diner are just a couple of our downtown restaurant customers. Thanks!
